Christian Counseling Division

Our Primary Aim

The Primary Aim of the Christian Counseling Division (CCD) of Logos is to make available licensed therapists who are knowledgeable in and passionate about providing biblical counseling, as well as evidence-based therapy.

It is not to proselytize or use the Bible to shame, coerce, guilt or harm a client in any way. Rather, Christian counseling is to be practiced solely by the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and in compliance with the Word of God and with the respective Code of Ethics of each licensed therapist, as long as the client is engaged in and desirous of the biblical perspective.

Our Mission

The mission of the CCD of Logos is to effectively utilize biblical truths and principles to enhance, guide, inform and empower the counseling process for those clients seeking Christian counseling, and to achieve the primary aim of Logos Counseling which is to Offer Love for Today and Create Hope for Tomorrow.

By having a division of Christian counselors at Logos that have been vetted, and who agree with the purpose and mission of the division, Logos is able to market to churches and other parachurch ministries to offer counselors that are in line with the tenets of faith of Bible believing churches. Therefore, a pastor or church leader can feel confident referring his or her congregants to the Christian Counseling Division of Logos.

Another purpose in establishing the CCD is to create a safe resource for pastors and their families, as well as other church and parachurch ministry leaders. We recognize that people in ministry can find themselves giving to others, and not having a person that they feel they can safely trust and be vulnerable with regarding problems in their own life. The Christian Counseling Division of Logos is that place of trust and confidentiality.

CCD Theme Verse
James 3:17 (v. 13 - 18 shown)

“Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.

But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.

Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.”
