Personal

Beth Ann and her husband Enrique have been married since 1976. They have three wonderful daughters and three wonderful sons-in-law, and six beautiful grandchildren. They moved to Fort Worth from El Paso in 2013 to be closer to them and to be a part of their grandchildren’s lives. Their greatest joy is spending time with their family. They are members at The Hills Church of Christ and are blessed to have the three generations there on Sundays. Aside from the family, Beth Ann loves to read, go for walks, explore most things related to nature, and she truly loves counseling. She and Enrique enjoy spending time together and share an interest in antique stores, outdoor exploration (mild hiking) and watching good movies together. Enrique is a master cabinet-builder and enjoys doing home remodeling. Their life and marriage have not always been easy, but the Lord has graciously helped them make use of the lessons learned to help others. Beth Ann feels that the greatest lesson for her has been that nothing is wasted in the Kingdom of God. “…In all things God works for the good of those who love him…” Romans 8:28. As she was going through one of the most painful times in her marriage, she felt the Lord said to her, “You want to help others in pain, but you have never known pain. Trust me through this and you will be better prepared to help others.” Beth Ann works with people of all ages to help them find hope and healing for a variety of issues that include: marriage adjustments, traumas from sexual abuse, loss of a loved one to violence or suicide or other life-changing events, life transitions, grief, parenting issues, teen issues, divorce recovery, depression, anxiety disorders, spiritual issues, PTSD and more. Beth Ann also has experience working with Third Culture Kids, as well as children of adoption experiencing Reactive Attachment Disorder. She wants church and para-church leaders to know that as a daughter of missionary parents she understands many of the challenges faced by people in those positions, and their need for a safe place to find healing or encouragement.

Professional Disclosure Statement

My therapy is driven by three primary dynamics: Faith, Systems Theory, and Client Goals. My faith, based on biblical principles, is the foundation of how I counsel. I work from the premise that God’s way works. Systems Theory is evidenced-based findings on why we are the way we are think and feel the way we do, and do the things we do. The exploration of this with a client gives us understanding and a starting point for moving forward to solutions. The client is ultimately in control of where we go and what is accomplished in counseling. I believe I must value and respect where a client is at in their life, listen to where they want to go and help them achieve their goals.

Beth Ann is fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
