Todd and his wife Adelita have been married since 2007 and have two wonderful children. Avery is an energetic 16 year old young man and Aleksandra is a beautiful 14 year old young lady. Todd and Adelita are both active members of First Baptist Church in Mansfield, Texas. Both he and his wife enjoy indoor and sand volleyball, tennis, being outdoors, and RV’ing. They value both friends and family and enjoy the opportunity to spend time with them. And, of course, they enjoy spending very valuable time with their blessed children and family.
I believe the therapeutic process is less about technique and more about relationship. When there is a healthy and appropriate therapeutic relationship between the therapist and the client there is a great motivation for change. Although I do believe the relationship is the most important factor in client change, I do utilize a unique approach called Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). This approach looks for exceptions within a clients’ lifestyle (times when they WERE doing well) rather than focusing on changing when times WEREN’T going well. It is much more future focused and is very goal oriented. I do work with a wide population including, but not limited to, children (7 years old and up), adolescents, young adults, family, couples, premarital, parents, and individuals.
