Personal

Cameron obtained his M.A. in Professional Counseling from Dallas Baptist University. He currently works with clients of all backgrounds and enjoys working with those dealing with depression, trauma, relationships, sexual addictions, and abuse. He also has a passion for helping couples walk through marital issues and conflict. Cameron uses CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) techniques paired with a Biblical foundation to help his clients through their various issues, finding life and healing through the truths given by Scripture. He strives to create a safe, non-judgmental counseling room to allow others the freedom to explore the pain they feel, gain understanding on the nature of their struggles, and body work to find healing and growth in their lives.

Cameron is also the epitome of a family man, with his wife Amanda and two wonderful boys, Harrison and Houston, being the center of his life. He enjoys time with his friends and family above all else, striving to grow and cultivate authentic, long lasting relationships.

Professional Disclosure Statement

I am currently a Licensed Professional Counselor with the State of Texas. I work with couples and individual adults of all ages.

My approach to counseling centers on creating a safe therapeutic environment where we can explore the unique facets of a client’s struggle, fostering understanding and equipping the client with the tools they need to overcome their struggles. Emotions are a universal foundation of human beings, but often are misunderstood and neglected, leading to a wide variety of long-term mental health problems. I focus on helping my client understand the foundational elements of mental health and give them the tools and insight needed to find lasting healing. I come to the table with a non-judgemental mindset, seeking to meet my clients where they are at, knowing everyone’s life story is a complicated and unique set of events that has led them to the moment they are currently at.  My counseling comes from a CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) approach, but I seek to call on other approaches and techniques when needed, making sure my clients get the most complete and effective care. I have a passion working with those suffering from trauma, unhealthy relationships, anxiety, stress, and sexual addictions.  God has designed us mentally and spiritually with a universal foundation, but our life experiences are unique, creating personal stories that are never exactly alike. I meet my clients where they are, using godly wisdom and a scriptural foundation, combined with a variety of therapeutic interventions, to help clients understand their inherent worth and find purpose in their lives.
