Personal

Kim is a Licensed Professional counselor with over 20 years of professional work experience.  She has been blessed to spend the majority of her career in education as a Special Education Teacher and School Counselor working with students in elementary, middle, and high school. Not only has she worked with students but also their families, staff, and community members to offer aid and support when needed. She has experience in helping clients with stress, anxiety, cultural issues, depression, grief and loss to name a few areas of specialization.

She believes in the importance of self care. When someone is experiencing a mental health crisis, this is one of the first ways that it is shown. Therefore, the importance of taking care of yourself to help you get to where you want to be is paramount. Self care is not selfish. It helps the client get to success. Sleeping, resting, eating healthy, exercising, and loving the life you live is important. Therefore, I look forward to helping others care for themselves emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually.

Professional Disclosure Statement

Reaching out for assistance takes courage.  As a therapist it is my goal to assist the client with their concerns as we work together. I believe in treating everyone with respect, dignity, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our dialogue and treatment plans to meet the clients’ specific needs and goals. I ask lots of questions and welcome the client to do the same. I truly enjoy what I do and feel that it is more of a calling than a job. I get the opportunity to show GOD’s love, help others, and learn from my clients.  We are a team. As a team, we will make a difference.  I look forward to helping my clients and being part of that team.
