After 3-years of studying Law Enforcement, and at a particularly low point of his life, Chad had a personal encounter with Jesus Christ that would change his life forever. Jesus rescued Chad from the pit of darkness that he was trapped in, gave him a name, and walked with him through life to become the husband, father, friend, leader, and counselor that he is today. He is now able to utilize his past to connect with people of all types regardless of their beliefs, values, hurts, social status’, vices, sexual orientations, etc.
Chad and his wife are new parents, and they are both actively serving in their church on various leadership and ministry teams. When they have the time to do something themselves, they enjoy hosting board game nights with their friends and family, going out to new places to eat and drink, or getting some fun range time in.
Chad is a Licensed Professional Counselor trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Chad obtained his Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from Dallas Baptist University his Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Psychology from Dallas Christian College.
Chad sees adolescents, adults, and couples from the ages of 13 and up and incorporates a variety of therapy techniques to help his clients get to the core of their dysfunctions and heal from the inside-out. The modalities he uses are based on empirical research, such as those found in Adaptive Information Processing (AIP), Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Gestalt Therapy. Chad also takes a holistic approach to counseling, in which every aspect of the client is considered: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual.
Chad is very friendly and he loves to meet new people. He has worked with a variety of issues and takes a head-on approach to any new challenge. He is also non-judgmental and meets people wherever they are at, regardless of how difficult/disturbing the situation that they find themselves in.
All of our therapists are trained and equipped to help you through issues related to anxiety, depression, and stress using a variety of techniques and tools designed specifically for you.
This is a therapeutic technique that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences (trauma).
We are happy to offer testing and therapeutic services using a variety of holistic approaches. These approaches can be used as either supplemental services to traditional therapy or sometimes in place of them.
Both Play Therapy and Art Therapy can be used to help clients interpret, express, and resolve their emotions and thoughts. Although Play Therapy is often used for children, Art Therapy can be used with a wide age range.
