Personal

In addition to my clinical practice, I’m currently pursuing a doctoral degree in counseling education and supervision at St. Mary’s University, where I am researching the dynamics of sibling relationships within immigrant families. I am profoundly grateful to be part of a large, extended immigrant family and for the support of the communities that have shaped my personal, educational, and professional journey. These connections inspire my growth as a therapist and embody the values, dedication, and passion I bring to my work.

Professional Disclosure Statement

I am dedicated to building strong therapeutic relationships and creating a positive impact in the lives of those I serve. I carefully balance structure with flexibility in our sessions, ensuring that clients feel secure, supported, and free to explore, express, and heal.

My work is deeply informed by a diverse range of cutting-edge research in areas such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship satisfaction, and overall mental health. I earned my master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from the University of Texas at San Antonio, graduating with high honors. For the past five years, I’ve been a licensed professional counselor, with intensive training in dialectical behavior therapy.
