Professional Disclosure Statement

I currently hold a Licensed  Professional Counselor Associate qualification, which means that I still require supervision while obtaining hours towards a full license. I am considered new to the profession, but I see this as a positive. I am open minded and willing to learn along with my clients about what works and what doesn’t while building a relationship with each individual. Every counselor starts at the exact place where I am right now, and I’m eager to take this journey along with you.

I believe in catering each client’s experience to their individual needs. Building a relationship based on trust and respect is first and foremost, followed by more in depth insight into the issues that brought you to me.  I believe in meeting the client where they are, and thus tend to operate from a person-centered perspective. I also utilize Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy wherever possible, and hope to integrate more techniques as I grow. My overall goal is to help each client achieve higher levels of overall functioning in their overall lives.
