Hello! Perhaps you are searching for help for a loved one or for yourself, or simply to acquaint yourself with counseling. I commend you for exploring your options! I have over nine years of experience providing therapy for a variety of issues. When clients begin therapy, many of them are searching for a space to fully express themselves and to process their struggles. Many are looking for a safe person to confide in without feeling judged. My hope is that you find that here and begin to identify ways to move forward.
How can I help? I especially enjoy working with those who have experienced trauma and empowering them in the healing process. I believe in the healing power of being listened to and fully accepted. Other areas of my experience include family crisis and conflict, dependency recovery, grief/loss, anxiety, and depression.
Wherever you go from here, I wish you well. Know that you are not alone in your hurts and that someone is waiting to listen. Please feel free to reach out with questions about therapy or even to schedule an appointment.
I am currently a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Texas. I work with a wide population of individuals including, but not limited to, children (10 years old and up), adolescents, and adults of all ages. I do not provide couples or family counseling at this time. I have been practicing since 2011. During this time, I have worked in the community as a home-based provider, community mental health therapist, substance abuse therapist, college counselor, and private practice therapist. Much of my experience has surrounded helping individuals identify core issues and recover from past trauma.
When clients begin therapy, many of them are searching for a space to fully express themselves and to process their struggles. Many are looking for a safe person to confide in without feeling judged. I believe in the healing power of being listened to and fully accepted. There are multiple strategies and techniques available to help people on their therapeutic journey. The approaches I use most often are pulled from Interpersonal Process Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Feminist Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. These therapies involve examining clients’ thought processes from different perspectives and can help individuals become more aware of the impact their thoughts have on themselves, and how they use these thoughts to then engage in their surroundings. These approaches also help to identify a new sense of empowerment and subsequently help clients learn to use various personal coping skills.
All of our therapists are trained and equipped to help you through issues related to anxiety, depression, and stress using a variety of techniques and tools designed specifically for you.
This is a therapeutic technique that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences (trauma).
We are happy to offer testing and therapeutic services using a variety of holistic approaches. These approaches can be used as either supplemental services to traditional therapy or sometimes in place of them.
Both Play Therapy and Art Therapy can be used to help clients interpret, express, and resolve their emotions and thoughts. Although Play Therapy is often used for children, Art Therapy can be used with a wide age range.
We’d like to stay in touch through a simple newsletter.
