They are active members of their church community, leading the 20-30’s community group for the past year. Jacob Corona has worked with youth and families over the past five years in various counseling and ministry capacities. Jacob also loves camping, reading science fiction, and practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in his free time.
Jacob sees children, adolescents and families with ages from 9 and up.
My approach to therapy starts with two basic assumptions: 1) that hope and love are the strongest factors for change, and 2) that each person already has unique strengths for achieving their goals. I hope to provide a safe, supportive environment to explore the complicated, sometimes difficult emotions and find new ways to grow through them.
In the therapy room, I draw from many research-based approaches including the Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT) models. When we explore the various “Parts” of our emotions, we also find the confidence, compassion, and creativity we need for healthy lives and relationships!
I work with couples, families, and individuals (+9 yrs), and am currently accepting new clients.
Grace and Peace, Jacob Corona, LMFT Associate
All of our therapists are trained and equipped to help you through issues related to anxiety, depression, and stress using a variety of techniques and tools designed specifically for you.
This is a therapeutic technique that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences (trauma).
We are happy to offer testing and therapeutic services using a variety of holistic approaches. These approaches can be used as either supplemental services to traditional therapy or sometimes in place of them.
Both Play Therapy and Art Therapy can be used to help clients interpret, express, and resolve their emotions and thoughts. Although Play Therapy is often used for children, Art Therapy can be used with a wide age range.
We’d like to stay in touch through a simple newsletter.
