Jessica returns to professional counseling after spending the past several years raising her four children. She has a particular heart for guiding athletes through the emotional and physical pressures that they face as they pursue their goals. A 12-time letter winner in high school and a multi-sport athlete at the University of Colorado, Jessica was recognized as the Athlete of the Year in the State of Colorado her senior year by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA).

Jessica is very familiar with the intensive nature of athletics, as well as coping with injuries, disappointments, victories, life balance, and personal identity. Jessica delivers her counseling from a Biblical worldview.  She believes deeply in the importance and power of the Holy Spirit.  Jessica counsels with Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution Based-Brief Therapy and from a Holistic approach.

In addition to athletes, Jessica also works with middle age women as they navigate society’s pressures of raising children, managing a life balance, coping with both seen and unseen stresses, and finding an inner peace in today’s unpredictable world.

Jessica is a native of Colorado, born and raised by her loving parents in Boulder. She moved to North Texas almost two years ago, inspired to live in a more family friendly environment and to have her children attend the area’s outstanding schools. She is married to her high school sweetheart, a former professional athlete, and they have four children.  Her children are all active in church, school and sports. Jessica’s faith in Jesus Christ is the most important gift in her life. In addition, Jessica enjoys the warm Texas weather, walks with her goldendoodle “Darla”, spending time with her children and movie nights with her husband.

“I believe it’s important to empathize with my clients from a Christian perspective. This involves establishing trust and providing a safe environment for my clients to be transparent. When my clients are struggling with anxiety, depression, injury or fear, and they are overwhelmed with the feeling that they are sinking, they can have confidence that I will do more than just “throw a life preserver”, I will jump in the water with them and guide them back to safety.”
